Had been to Kluang several times, stayed in a hotel, camp site, and glamp site at various locations. The last trips doing the butterfly trail, I’ve stayed at the same hostel. It’s right across the road from the train station, just 10 min drive to the trailhead at the waterpark, with 7-eleven a few shops away, and has tonnes of eateries nearby. It’s just a 5min walk to the murals too
This place has 3 room types – 2 single beds, 1 bunk bed, or 1 double bed. All rooms for 2 pax, same price even if single occupancy. I’ve tried them all. Aircon is superb! Rooms are clean, linen fresh. I love their fluffy towels! 7 shared toilets – 3 for men and 4 for women – in the common area. What I really like is the washer and dryer, so we can just dump our clothes for a spin after hiking! Need to bring your own detergent though. A hot/cold water dispenser, fridge, microwave, kettle etc is available for use. I did not notice any pots and pans though.
Self check in and out is so easy, and communication with host extremely efficient and she’s extremely accomodating. I really couldn’t ask for anything more.
