Bukit Taishio Sunrise Hike

This morning will be sunrise hike to Bukit Taishio. I’ve heard so much about the sea of clouds I can’t wait for it! Upon reaching the trailhead, we met with an elderly uncle who used to be a photographer. So off we go! When we arrived at the summit, we could see why this hill is a favourite amongst the locals! It’s private palm plantation but the owner and volunteers has put in alot of effort in decorating the look-out points, installing the glitter safety lights and the newly constructed steps at the steeper areas.

Trailhead is easy to find, at Taman Meranti. There’s ample parking area nearby, right beside the temple. The trail starts right there, we are thankful to have a “guide” as the place is pitch dark. Within 30 minutes we have arrived at the peak, waiting for sunrise and the much-heard-about sea of clouds. Unfortunately, no luck that morning!
